The Sioux City Farmers Market is holding the second organizational meeting on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the Gleeson Room of the Downtown Sioux City Public Library in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Farmers Market returns this year to the Tyson Events Center suite parking lot following 14 very successful years. The first steps in this return are organizational meetings to update existing vendors and introduce ourselves to prospective new vendors. The meeting is open to all interested vendors and the general public.

Organizers of the Market are looking for additional vendors of food trucks, pastries, bread, fruit, art, crafts, plants, and dairy products, plus other compatible products to join the 2023 Sioux City Farmers Market.

Buy Fresh Buy Local – Siouxland, Inc. (BFBL-S) is the non-profit operator of the Market and is a member of both the Iowa Buy Fresh Buy Local Initiative and the Food Routes organization, bringing fresh, locally produced products to the tables in Siouxland. At the meeting, BFBL-S volunteers and staff will update vendors on the success of last season, plans, changes, and improvements for 2023.

In partnership with the Tyson Events Center and the City of Sioux City, the Market will again be located at the corner of Pearl Street and Tri View Avenue on the Tyson Center suite parking lot beginning May 3rd and running each week until October 28th on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Located in north west Iowa,  the Sioux City Farmers' Market is truly one of the most important events during the year. It brings together all the people of the surrounding area to enjoy the bounty of the locally grown produce, delicious baked goods and beautifully hand crafted items. Everything that is for sale is grown or produced by the person selling it. That makes this market unique. There are plenty of opportunities for people to discuss how the product was grown or made. This exchange draws the community together and makes it a better place to live. Nearly 20 area farmers sell home grown produce, but the market is more than just produce! Live music, coffee and sweets draw the Siouxland community to the Market.

The Market is located in the Tyson Events Center Suite Parking Lot located north of TriView Avenue at the corner of TriView Avenue and Pearl Street .The Sioux City Farmers Market will be open Wedensday, May 5th - Saturday, October 30th.
